Sheepdog Training Day
Add to Basket
Escape the flurry of modern day life and head to Yorkshire for a real back-to-basics training day with the talented Barbara Sykes. Barbara represented the country in the International Sheep Dog Trials; she is a farmer and dog trainer who runs fantastic classes on the edge of the scenic Yorkshire Moors.
Spend a day there, getting to know the friendly and impressive collie dogs that tend to the flocks of sheep. You’ll learn training techniques for your own dogs and gain impressive knowledge to add to your own list of skills. Working with a breed of dog that has the ability to communicate with its human partner is a unique experience you’ll never forget, and one that will leave you feeling uplifted before the day is through.
- Expert tuition from professional Barbara Sykes
- Experience gift pack including personalised voucher and message card
- Cancellation indemnity
What happens on the day?
On arrival at the farm, you will be welcomed by Barbara Sykes and introduced to the other participants in your group for the training session. You’ll spend five hours as part of a group working with the fully-trained sheep dogs. During your lesson, you’ll find out all about these special breed of dogs as you try your hand at one of man’s oldest skills.
You will be given an hour for lunch, however we recommend you take a packed lunch with you or visit the local pub as food will not be provided as part of this experience. After your lunch break, you’ll return to the farm for more tuition from Barbara and her wonderful collies.
