What happens on the day
You’ll arrive at the Penarth Marina in the morning, to be greeted by your skipper and be taken aboard the fishing boat ‘Chara’. You and your group will have a quick safety briefing from the skipper, before departing the marina. After approximately an hour’s travelling out in the Bristol Channel, the skipper will select a good spot and drop anchor so you can all get on with the fishing! You’ll be issued with your rod, reel and bait for the day, and the skipper will give a demonstration on how to bait up and cast. No prior fishing experience is necessary, and the skipper will be available for help and advice all day.
Tea and coffee will be served throughout the day, but you might like to bring a packed lunch to enjoy out on the water.
You’ll spend around 6 hours fishing, during which you’ll have plenty of time to pick up tricks and tips from the expert skipper. Photos will be taken of your catch, and will be posted on the supplier’s website as well as being emailed to you so can show off to your friends! Finally, you will be able to take home anything that you’ve caught!
