Overview
For those with a thirst for both wine and knowledge; enjoy a tour of a working vineyard to see how the vines are grown at an award winning estate set in the heart of rural Sussex. Enjoy an interesting and entertaining tour around the vines and winery as well as a chance to taste some of the vineyard’s best wines with a tutored tasting. A delicious seasonal Ploughman’s style lunch is also included for each guest to round off the experience before you are presented with the Vineyard’s very own Lychgate Red wine to take away with you.

What happens on the day
After a welcome glass of wine and homemade shortbread on arrival, you will enjoy an in-depth, interesting and very entertaining tour. You will visit the vineyard's winery where you will discover the secrets of the winemaking process from the harvesting of the grapes to the bottling of the finished wine. Next you will have the chance to take part in a tutored tasting of four of the vineyard's finest wines. As a special treat, you will also be given a complimentary bottle of still red wine, Lychgate Red, to take home as a souvenir of your visit.
Finally, relax and reflect as you finish the tour with a locally-sourced, home cooked lunch or supper to include local meats, cheeses and chutneys. You will have the opportunity to sample our freshly-baked bread, homemade coleslaw and the local ‘Wobblegate’ apple juice!
