What happens on the day

This experience allows you to choose from one of the following eight Animal Encounters at Paradise Wildlife Park:

Birds of Paradise Experience

Take part in this interesting tour of the Bird section where you'll learn all about the various species at Paradise Wildlife Park. Once the tour has finished you'll have the opportunity of handling and flying some of these magnificent creatures to include Owls, Parrots, Love Birds and Lorikeets before being presented with a certificate of your experience and a souvenir Paradise Wildlife T-shirt

Face Your Phobia

This package is the ideal way to get over your fear of all things creepy crawly! Under the supervision and guidance of the friendly keepers, you will get to face up to your biggest fear. You can choose to handle a variety of lizards, birds and non-venomous snakes. If you’re brave enough you can handle the most challenging of all, the tarantula. A certificate of your experience and a Paradise Wildlife T Shirt are yours to take away.

Shadow a Reptile Keeper

This package is the ideal way to have an up close encounter with a number of reptiles. Enjoy assisting with the care of each animal with your questions answered by a professional reptile keeper. You will help with the care and cleaning of a number of the enclosures for bearded dragons, chameleons, boa constrictors, pythons, tarantulas and many more! The reptile keeper will be with you at all times to answer your questions and give you useful information about the welfare and care of reptiles. You will receive a certificate and a t-shirt as a memento of a truly unique encounter.

Tickle a Tapir

Take a trip back in time and tickle a Tapir. These prehistoric looking creatures, native to Brazil, are friendly and inquisitive and love a tickle! You will be shown into the enclosure with a trained member of staff who will guide you through this experience. One of the team will be on hand to assist you to feed the Tapir and to capture wonderful photographs, on your own camera, for approximately 15 minutes. The package includes a presentation certificate as proof of your Tickle a Tapir experience.

Feed the Lemurs

Lemurs are amazing creatures that originate from the island of Madagascar. They are now critically endangered and captive breeding is essential to their continued survival. These fascinating and gentle creatures will use you as their personal climbing frame whilst feeding from your hand. One of the team will be on hand to assist you to feed the Lemurs and to capture wonderful photographs, on your own camera, for approximately 15 minutes. The package includes welcome drinks, souvenir t-shirt and a presentation certificate as proof of your incredible feat!

Meet the Red Pandas

This is a fantastic opportunity to get up close to one of the worlds most endangered but cute creatures at Paradise Wildlife Park, the Red Panda. This experience allows you to learn all about these endangered animals and even hand feed them with bamboo. You will receive a souvenir t-shirt and a certificate as a memento of an unforgettable encounter.

Zoofari Adventure

This is a great family activity where both adults and children get involved and work with one of the trained Animal Park Team. It is fun and educational; seeing behind the scenes as one of the trained animal keepers escorts you to the Animal Park where you will start your morning as a keeper. Activities may include helping to clean and feed the rabbits and farmyard animals. After your morning’s work you will be escorted into Safari Sams Diner to enjoy a complimentary lunch.

Feed the Penguins

This is a fantastic opportunity to get up close to the rare African penguins. Come and learn about these fascinating creatures before feeding them by hand and learning about their unique behaviours. You will spend approximately 30 minutes inside the Penguin House, with the keeper, feeding these truly unique African Penguins by hand and watching each of them display their own individual personality. The keeper can also help take photos of you and the penguins on your own camera.

• Zoofari Adventure - There is no age limit on adults however the accompanying child must be between 6-13
• Feed the Penguins: 10
• In all cases under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult
• Paradise Wildlife Park is open all year round except Christmas Day and New Years Day. We advise you to call the venue before travelling to be advised of any un-planned closures. You do not need to make a booking for your visit
• You may arrive at the park from 9.30am and enjoy all the facilities until 6.00pm from 2nd March to 31st October or until 5.00pm from 1st November to 1st March
• Additional family & friends may pay normal admission prices to enter the park and enjoy the animals and attractions
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking
• Disabled access is available, for further information please discuss with the supplier at the time of booking
• Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue. Kindly note that you must have booked and taken your experience before your expiry date as vouchers may not be extended beyond their expiry. This voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer
